Early in the 1900s, Ole Evinrude built his first outboard motor. In 1907 Evinrude motors was founded and began to develop its first commercially marketable outboard motor.
Evinrude produces primarily two stroke engines up to the late 19990s, they used carburetors. After fuels injection technology was introduced, they started to incorporate that into their motor designs and it allowed them to produce some very low emission high power outboard motors.
