It's a 1971 It has a 85hp Mercury Marine Marathon 850 Motor. It doesn't start and looks like it has a lot of issues. There were some exposed wires and the Thunderbolt ignition looked crazily corroded with rock or sand, Anyways, should I buy a new ignition box and try to fix the thing or try to find a new motor.

I just bought a new nissan outboard and was wondering how she runs and what problems i may face in the future! I am attaching it to a 10 ft fiberglass boat that weighs less than a hundred pounds and rated for 550 pound capacity. will that work out ok?
